Super Smash Bros.

Link SmashBros

SSB Melee STUFF

B: Bow - Link's new item, the bow and arrow, adds a great offense to his long-ranged style. Press and release B to shoot an arrow. The longer you hold B before you release it, the faster and farther the arrow will fly.

Smash B: Boomerang Link's boomerang is now Smash B. Like in Smash Bros, it doesn't have the best range, but now Link's arrows will make up for that. It will always come back to you when you throw it, hitting enemies in its way!

 B Up: Spin Attack - Link's Spin Attack is back and better than ever. It is also Link's triple jump, and it also has a few extra swings on it, which allows Link to go higher in Melee! In the air, his Spin Attack can hit multiple times, but not on the ground, unlike his clone.

B Down: Bomb - Same as before, press B + Down to take out a bomb. Then press A and the direction on the joystick you want to throw it. Link can be hurt by his own bombs.

It looks like they changed Link for the better of it. We were really happy to see that his third jump, the power swing, has a little extra "ummph" on it, allowing Link to jump higher. This is very appeasing to me personally because the main reason I didn't use link in SSB was his horrible jumping. Heres one last shot of Link's Spin Attack.

Smash Bros. Brawl (one of the best)

The hero of The Legend of Zelda series.
The design of this particular Link comes from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Link wields the Master Sword and a diverse arsenal of equipment.
Use all of his weapons to adapt to the ebb and flow of battle.

                                                          Link's Special Moves

Standard Special Move Hero's Bow
Side Special Move Gale Boomerang
Up Special Move Spin Attack
Down Special Move Bomb

The design for Link is taken from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, so his special moves have also been designed a bit differently.

<Side Special Move: Gale Boomerang>

Gale Boomerang!

The Gale Boomerang deals damage when thrown at an enemy, but when it comes back, it also lightly pulls the foe’s body.

<Standard Special Move: Hero’s Bow>

The Hero’s Bow! It’s fast.

<Down Special Move: Bomb>

Are these bombs made by Barnes?

<Up Special Move: Spin Attack>

screenshot

You can charge up the Spin Attack!

<Grab: Clawshot>

screenshot

All this and the Clawshot, too!

You can use the Clawshot to perform life-saving tether recoveries by aiming at available ledges.

It was difficult to aim in the previous game, but this time it automatically flies to the closest ledge, so it should be pretty simple to use.

Of course, it doesn't mean a thing if it can't reach its target...

<Triforce Slash>

Is he using the Triforce to slash enemies? Or is it the Triforce doing the slashing?

You don’t have time to ponder such questions, as Link has just grabbed a Smash Ball.

screenshot

Light shoots out from the Triforce on the back of Link’s hand, striking his opponents!

screenshot

Link dashes into the fray! Enemies are trapped by the Triforce.

screenshot

He strikes repeatedly with lightning speed!

And then comes the finishing strike! SKRAAAAH!

If you suffer this fate, there is little hope for you. But remember: damage alone will not finish you in Smash.

If you’re lucky enough to strike solid ground, you just might be saved.
